"summary": "Cyber physical systems integrate computation with physical objects and processes. Examples of cyber physical systems are:\n\n'smart' devices in the home such as a smart meter or fridge\nvoice assistant devices\ndriverless vehicles\nmedical monitoring equipment \nwearable devices\nrobotic assistants\nOur course is designed for students with a background in computer science or a related field with analytical skills. You'll learn the principles of integrated system design and computational and cyber physical systems methods and tools. \n\nThe key topics covered will include:\n\nartificial intelligence\nrobotics\ncyber security\nmodelling and simulation\nethical design\ninteractive systems\nThe benefit of a two-years masters is that you can build the foundation of your knowledge in year one then use your skills for a year-long practical or research project.\n\nDuring the second year, you will undertake an individual research project. This could be software-based or research-based. Collaboration with business, industry, and other outside bodies is encouraged. \n\nThis course is linked to the school’s research groups. Our broad research means we can offer a variety of projects across the spectrum of computer science and cyber physical systems.\n\nA one-year version of this course is available.",
