"modules": "Year 2 (MFA only)\n\nCreative Practice (Core Modules)\n\nAlongside the above module, MFA students develop their own, discipline specific creative practice in the Creative Practice module. This is a supervised, independent, student-driven module, which offers you an extraordinary opportunity to develop your creative practice in depth and to complete a professional-standard, full-length creative output in your discipline. You will develop your own work in the context of a rigorous but supportive intellectual climate, encouraging you to identify and explore those key contextual issues relevant to your artistic practice, and enabling you to achieve the highest possible standards in your work, so that MFA graduates have the confidence, maturity and intellectual and interpersonal skills necessary to function as successful creative practitioners. \n\nProfessional Platform (Core Modules)\n\nFor students that move onto the MFA year, the Professional Platform module is designed to support you taking further steps into the industry/developing your professional career. This module aims to facilitate you in creating and undertaking supervised industry projects or placements related to your creative practice. In a typical sense, this will include one supervised placement within the university – working with a member of the teaching team across the department of Music, Writing and Performance, and across the school of ACI, and – usually – an external industry professional, to aid in the development and delivery of a UG level public performance production. Supervisors also support and guide students in securing an external industry placement, guiding you to create a professional portfolio of case studies, sketches/drafts of professional project, and reflection to prepare you for presentation/exhibition/residency in a discipline-specific conference, public event or professional industry installation or internship.
