"summary": "This course will help you develop critical awareness of current problems and new insights into the fields of dental public health, oral epidemiology, health promotion and inclusion oral health. Learn how to evaluate methodologies, develop critiques of them and where appropriate propose new methods to advance the practice of dental public health and related disciplines, to reduce oral health inequalities. Learn about planning and evaluating health promotion, including needs assessment. Design of oral health surveys and evaluate their value and limitations.\n\nDevelop your critical understanding of the concepts of inclusion health/oral health, vulnerability and intersectionality as applied to Dental Public Health.\n\nYou will develop a critical understanding of co-design and co-production of oral health/health services/interventions.\n\nLearn how evidence-based practice relates to healthcare, including navigation of the components of the global evidence ecosystem. \n\nExplore methods used in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of research and service evaluation projects as applied to healthcare.\n\nThe course is delivered by a range of experienced staff including Consultants and Specialists in Dental Public Health and Public Health, senior academics, and active dental public health researchers, including from NHS Education for Scotland (NES). Visiting external speakers will provide workshops and guest lectures in a wide range of related topics.",
