"entryRequirements": "**Applicants must have an honours degree (2:2 or above) in a health or science related subject**\n**Applications from candidates with relevant experience will be considered on an individual basis. Each application will be considered on its merits and the final decision will be made by the Programme Leader.**\n**English and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C/grade 4 for above (or equivalent). Non-standard entry applicants will be considered on their merits. Evidence of qualification must be submitted.**\n**Applicants must supply a full transcript and two academic references at the point of application. UCB applicants only require 1 reference.** \nAll applicants are required to have the following science requirements prior to commencing the MSc Pre-registration Dietetics master's degree:\nBiochemistry (minimum 20 credits at Level 4 or above); Physiology (minimum 20 credits at Level 4 or above).\n\nAny applicant who does not meet the required science is eligible to apply for our six-week ‘Foundations of Science for Dietetics’ course. This short online course is completed over 6 weeks, at the applicant’s own pace, using the learning materials provided. The course must be fully completed prior to the start of the MSc Dietetics (pre-registration) course. Assessment is via multi-choice questions, and completion is evidenced by submitting topic certificates of completion.",

"summary": "**Do you enjoy learning about the science of food and nutrition and its application to the promotion of health and well-being, as well as its clinical application and therapeutic effects in treating disease? Do you want a career where you can help people every day? Then studying for a MSc Dietetics (pre-registration) may just be the right course for you. The title 'dietitian' is the only food and nutrition title that is protected by law. This is an exciting and innovative course, where you will learn the underpinning dietetic knowledge, skills, values and behaviours that are fundamental to dietetic practice.**\n\nDietitians are well placed to address many of the diet-related diseases facing both the UK and global population including obesity, diabetes and malnutrition, having a focus on both prevention and treatment of disease, as well as leading on cutting-edge developments in food and nutrition such as diet and sustainability, personalised nutrition and digital dietetics.\n\nThis course gives graduates eligibility to apply for registration as a dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and enter the workforce as a registered Allied Health Professional.
