"entryRequirements": "The ULMS continues to welcome applications that fulfil our admissions criteria in order to select a balanced international student cohort. As students from different countries tend to apply at different points in the application period, applications from some countries may close earlier in the year. In these cases we will aim to provide a 3-week notice period to the affected country, prior to any programme closure.\n\nA 2:1 Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in Economics or a related discipline with a quantitative focus.\n\nStudents with a 2:1 degree from a quantitative Science discipline (e.g. Maths, Physics, Statistics, Operations Research) are also encouraged to apply.\n\nApplicants should have competency in A-Level Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent.\nInternational qualifications: Applications from international students are welcomed. It places much emphasis on using the appropriate theoretical framework for interpreting various current economic and financial issues. These include the economic impact of rising US trade tariffs, Brexit, shocks in exchange rates, China as an economic power, reducing poverty, and the rise in global market power of firms.\n\nThe programme provides students with the option of two pathways: the ‘Economics Pathway’ and the ‘Financial Economics Pathway’.
