You’ll learn from – and will be inspired by – the engineers who are making these industry improvements happen.\n\nWe foster strong links with industry to support collaborative research and to provide routes to knowledge transfer and commercialisation of the outcomes of our research.\n\n**Areas of study**\nAs a research student, you're associated with one or more research groups in the Department of Engineering and Design:\n\n\n- Centre of Advanced Communications, Mobile Technology and IoT\n\n\n- Creative Technology Research Group\n\n\n- Dynamics, Control and Vehicle Research Group\n\n\n- Industrial Informatics and Signal Processing Research Group\n\n\n- Robotics and Mechatronic Systems\n\n\n- Sensor Technology Research Centre\n\n\n- Thermo-Fluid Mechanics Research Centre.\n\n\nWe welcome research proposals in all of the areas our faculty specialise in.\n\nWe understand that deciding where and what to study is a very important decision.
