"summary": "Follow your research interests in Epidemiology and Public Health with the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham where 100% of our research is classed as world-leading or internationally excellent for its impact, vitality, and sustainability in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014.\n\nYou will design, plan and deliver an original and independent research project, with supervision and support from our research experts in the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health. Training will be provided in key skills, specific to your project.\n\nSpecific subject titles have included:\n\n\n- Epidemiology and Public Health\n\n\nOther areas of research you may be interested in:\n\n\n- Tobacco control \n\n\n- Respiratory disease\n\n\n- Gastrointestinal disease\n\n\n- Infection, predominantly respiratory infections\n\n\n- Cancer\n\n\n- Maternal and child health epidemiology\n\n\nGrowing research areas at the University of Nottingham:\n\n\n- Mental health\n\n\n- Obesity\n\n\n- Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases\n\n\n- Falls and other problems in the elderly population\n\n\n- Alcohol\n\n\n- Migrant health\n\n\n- Public Health in disasters\n\n\n- Evaluation of health systems, programmes and facilities\n\n\n- Traditional and complementary therapies\n\n\nBy joining our postgraduate research community, you’ll be part of our Researcher Academy.
