"assessmentMethods": "Assessment is both formative and summative. It is designed to appeal to, and test, students from wide range of traditions. Methods are varied and include assignments written in report and essay format, comparative analyses, case studies, a skills development portfolio, presentations and group work. There are also two exams. The exams take place only in the first semester and are required by the CIPD across all approved programmes. Exam briefing is given is given to help prepare students for these assessments. There is also a dissertation which carries 60 credits. The dissertation requires students to conduct a piece of empirical research on a topic of their choice (and approved by their tutor).",
