"summary": "Gain the knowledge and skills you need for a public health career worldwide. From epidemiological research to addiction and disease, policy-making to migration and mental health, this course covers the key concepts.\n\nAcross the globe, the increasing demand for healthcare alongside the reduction in funding for healthcare systems means there is an increased need for a trained, effective workforce of public health professionals.\n\nGlobally, the field of public health is ever-expanding, particularly in the context of increased migration, conflict, natural disasters, and infectious disease outbreaks.\n\nCovid-19 and Ebola, health inequality, debate about conflict, vaccine hesitancy and the role of the state in health: public health is constantly in the news – and our MPH will equip you to meet these challenges.\n\nYou could be working in a public health-related role or in a medical-related field. In either case you’ll find a wealth of valuable content here, which will allow you to gain specialised skills to prepare you to make a valuable contribution to global public health.\n\nAt ARU, our postgraduate Global Public Health degree takes a modern approach, by directly addressing the social, economic, political and other factors that influence population health.\n\nThe taught aspects explore the field globally and are applicable to any country or health system. You’ll learn how to apply advanced theory and techniques to practical scenarios.\n\nYour course will culminate in planning, researching and writing your Masters project. This can focus an area of particular interest to you and be research or work-based.",
