"entryRequirements": "Our postgraduate minimum requirements are:\n• A 2:2 undergraduate UK honours degree or international equivalent or;\n• A degree-equivalent postgraduate diploma/professional qualification.\n\nApplicants who hold a degree from another discipline or have experiential learning in lieu of a degree may also be considered for entry via the Recognition of Prior Learning process (RPL).\n\n-\n\nExamples of work\n\nFor all postgraduate courses you will need:\n\n• To set up your portal\n• You will then be asked to submit a maximum of six examples of work from your portfolio for consideration. The files should be no larger than 30MB in total and it is essential that no more than six examples of work are uploaded.\n• One reference to support your application. This may be from an academic or a creative practitioner.\n\nApplicants who meet the entry requirements above will be required to submit a personal statement outlining their intentions for MA study.\n\n-\n\nRecognition of Prior Learning (RPL)\n\nIf you’re over the age of 21 and don’t have traditional qualifications, we may be able to consider your relevant experience as well as your educational background through the Recognition of Prior Learning process (RPL). "summary": "This course gives practitioners a year to create an animated film, technical showreel or other animation-related outcomes from start to finish. You will engage in a critical dialogue that integrates practice, theory and the professional aspects of animation.\n\nThe course provides space for animators to produce work of cultural value and explore their practice across creative, commercial and industry-based contexts. The curriculum is designed to allow both individual and collaborative practice to take place. However, we positively encourage collaboration as it is a key part of the animation production process, enabling you to undertake ambitious projects.\n\nThe course will provide you with the space to develop your understanding and knowledge in relation to animation practices, to question what the medium of animation has the potential to be, and how it communicates to an audience. You will also have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies and new approaches to storytelling such as the use of VR and real-time technologies.\n\nYou will be supported by a team with diverse research and practical interests within the field of animation and you will engage with visiting industry professionals. The course will present you with the opportunities to work with other creatives on the programme and across other MA courses within the institution. The objective is to enable students to produce engaging work across all forms of animation from animated shorts to documentary and experimental practices.",
