"summary": "Medical Prescribing programme for nurses. The programme comprises a variety of teaching and learning methods, including in-person study days, self-directed study and online learning.\n\nYou will be expected to complete a minimum of 78 hours of learning in practice. Details of our accreditation can be found on the NMC accreditation website. Since January 2020, this programme has been approved against the new NMC programme standards.\n\nNurses studying the programme can be assessed at either level 6 (undergraduate), leading to a Graduate Certificate, or level 7 (postgraduate), leading to a Postgraduate Certificate. Both programmes award 60 academic credits.\n\n**Upcoming cohorts enrolment options:**\n\n**September 2025 course**\n- Day: Thursdays\n\n\n- Start date: 11 September 2025\n\n\n- Course length: 26 weeks, including eight on-campus days\n\n\n- Applications open Monday 19 May 2025 and close on Monday 14 July 2025.\n\n\n**January 2026 course**\n- Day: Thursdays\n\n\n- Start date: 22 January 2026\n\n\n- Course length: 26 weeks, including eight on-campus days\n\n\n- Applications open Monday 30 September 2025 and close on Monday 24 November 2025.\n\n\nFull course structure and timetables for 2026 are available.
