"summary": "If you want to progress in your business career, launch your own business, or get a head start in employment by gaining a formal qualification in Business, these programmes could be right for you.\n\nThe Pearson Higher National BTEC in Business can be studied over a year as a Higher National Diploma (HND). You can study either full-time or part-time and you will be based in our brand new University Centre at our WISE Campus in Bristol. \n\nThese courses have been designed and developed to meet professional standards which are recognised by employers and universities. Both programmes will enable you to develop as a professional, so that you can meet the demands of employers in the business sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. \n\nYou will develop the wide range of personal skills that employers require, as well as a solid understanding of current concepts, theories and techniques in business and management. You’ll learn how to apply your understanding to real world business situations, including opportunities of valued work experience with local businesses, that can support you in your personal and professional development during and after you finish your studies\n\nThe HND takes one year (full-time) and is a great way to develop your skills and understanding of the field, with the option to finish after the year with a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll be assessed by a variety of methods and there are no formal examinations.\n\nThe HND offers you a broad introduction to the subject at Level 5, allowing you to develop the core skills you need to progress. It will prepare you for a range of careers in business, including management, administration, human resources, marketing, entrepreneurship, accounting and finance. If you are already working, you could study part-time and improve your opportunities for promotion and career development.\n\nOnce you have successfully completed the HND, you can go on to apply for a job in your chosen career.\n\nThe HND enables you to develop the management skills you’ve acquired in the HNC, following your own interests.
