"summary": "**Why choose this course**\n- Our BSc (Hons) Business Management and Spanish course focuses on training you to be a world-class language expert with an understanding of how organisations of all sizes start, run and thrive.\n\n\n- Take the opportunity to get industry-ready with our award-winning Professional Training placements or study abroad, to prepare you for work in industry after graduation.\n\n\n- You will also have the opportunity to experience and benefit from being taught by experts in two different areas.\n\n\n- The language part of your course is a degree for the digital age, in which you'll develop 'future-proof' skills that are highly valued by employers, such as problem-solving, communications and intercultural awareness. \n\n\n**What you will study**\nStudying business studies and Spanish at Surrey will introduce you to core business principles and practice and give you the opportunity to continuously improve and practise your language skills in a variety of settings. If you don’t have an A-level or equivalent in Spanish, you’ll have the opportunity to take Spanish as a beginner, as long as you can demonstrate language learning aptitude. \n\nYour first year of study will provide you with a strong base of knowledge in the essentials of business management and will introduce you to using Spanish in a variety of academic and professional contexts. From the second year, you will be given the opportunity to select from a widening range of optional modules, including marketing, HR, sociolinguistics and translation. \n\nThe course includes a Professional Training placement abroad which will give you a real insight into business practice in the relevant country, plus the opportunity to use and develop your language skills in a professional setting.
