You’ll begin with Engineering Fundamentals, building the scientific and technical knowledge to tackle complex problems. Alongside this, Engineering Skills will strengthen your practical ability through labs, workshops, and training in communication and project management, while Engineering Simulation and Mathematics will develop your precision in advanced analysis and modelling. In your fourth year, you will complete master’s-level study, advancing your expertise through specialist modules and a major research project.\n\nSpecialist civil engineering study begins with structural analysis, soil mechanics, and fluid mechanics, alongside early exposure to sustainability and digital engineering methods. As you progress, you will learn to address complex applications, including system performance, construction technology, and modelling with building information modelling (BIM) and geographic information systems (GIS).
