"summary": "**THIS PROGRAMME IS AVAILABLE TO SCOTTISH-DOMICILED APPLICANTS ONLY**\n**THERE IS NO ADVANCED ENTRY TO THIS PROGRAMME**\n\nStudy an HND at college for two years and progress to Year 3. Using your creativity and innovation, create the next generation of intelligent connected devices and robotic systems and create solutions driven by data and electronics. \nGCU Pathways students enrol at Glasgow Caledonian University on the BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering (GCU Pathways). Over the first two years, you will study HND Mechatronics, HND Electronics or HND Electrical Engineering at the City of Glasgow College in preparation for transfer to the BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering course in (Hons) year three. \nGraduate with an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from GCU and you can go on to enjoy a range of careers in digital communications, wireless, engineering and energy sectors plus you have the option to further develop a specialism with master’s level study. \n\nChoose the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Pathway if \n- You are interested in cutting-edge technology and design \n\n\n- You enjoy learning in a hands-on practical way through placements and industry-led case studies \n\n\n- You want a degree accredited by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) \n\n\n- You want to be at the forefront of technological advancements with the opportunity to work in a range of different sectors from aerospace to entertainment \n\n\n- You work best with lots of interaction from lecturing staff \n\n\n- You like working towards clear goals with a sense of achievement at the end of each year of study and the option of further study after you graduate \n\n\nThis course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purpose of partly meeting the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer. \n\nYour career \nGraduates can expect to find employment in industries such as mobile systems, interactive entertainment, robotic systems design, image processing, artificial intelligence, communications and networking, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, renewable energy, instrumentation and medical systems, as well as being in demand in roles outside engineering where their problem-solving skills and wide knowledge of technology is highly valued.
