"summary": "**Available for September or January intakes.**\n**Indicate point of entry as Year 3 when applying for this top-up degree.**\n\n**Course overview**: This top-up degree is ideal if you are currently qualified to QCF Level 5 (foundation degree, HND or equivalent) in an electrical, electronic or communications subject and you wish to qualify at degree level and use this as a stepping stone to a master's course or to enhance your career prospects. \n\n**Course details**: This course deepens your knowledge of subject areas previously studied as part of your HND, foundation degree or equivalent, to help improve your career prospects. You gain a rounded knowledge and understanding of electrical and electronic systems and drives. The design and project modules allow you to solve complex multi-disciplinary engineering design and implementation problems. You will cover a broad spectrum of engineering topics and transferrable and team-working skills, which are highly valued by employers.\n\n**After the course**: Work opportunities exist in industries which include aerospace, communications, power generation and transmission, manufacturing and process, research and development and many others.
