"modules": "There are two semesters per academic year. Each semester is 15 weeks long; 12 weeks face-to-face tuition, one week consolidation/revision and two weeks to complete the assessments. Students study three modules per semester. All modules are worth 20 credits. The course starts with a one week freshers/induction week. During the Foundation Year, students also complete the 'Shaping Skills for Success' programme which involves one 2 hour session per week during both terms. \n\nFoundation Year:\nAll modules are worth 20 credits. In Semester 1 students study:\n• Communication Skills\n• Digital and Research Skills\n• Sustainability and Society\n\nIn Semester 2 students will study:\n• Foundation Year Project\n• Core Concepts of Law\n\nAnd one option* from the following:\n• Core Concepts of Business\n• Core Concepts of Computer Science\n• Core Concepts of Criminology\n• Core Concepts of Psychology\n\nYear 1:\nAll modules are at Level 4 and are worth 20 credits. All modules are compulsory. The modules are: \n\n• Academic and Career Success\n• Legal Method and Skills\n• Public and EU Law\n• AI Literacy for the Future Professional\n• Contract Law\n• Criminal Law\n\nYear Two:\nAll modules are at Level 5 and worth 20 credits. Compulsory modules are in Semester 1 and include:\n• Critical Approaches in Current Legal Issues\n• Land Law\n• Tort\n\nStudents study three options* in Semester 2. Two of these options are 'prescribed' and include:\n• International Human Resource Management\n• Marketing and Sales in a Digital World \n\nStudents must then study one Law option*, chosen from the Business pathway or Common Modules pathway, which include:\n\n• Business Law 1\n• Real Estate\n• Extended Essay\n• Law in a Global Context\n• Practising Law in the Digital World\n• Student Law Clinic\n\nStudents also have the opportunity to spend Semester 2 studying abroad.\n\nYear 3:\nAll modules are worth 20 credits and at Level 6. At least four MUST be Business modules (to warrant the Business element of the degree).\n\n*All options are indicative and are available subject to numbers.\n**The Legal Advice Clinic is a clinical legal education module where students will be supervised to advice real clients by University of Law LLP. "summary": "Our LLB (Hons) Law with International Business with Foundation Year course combines your legal studies with an exploration of different aspects of international business. You’ll develop knowledge of business and law in an international context and gain the attributes to contribute to the global business strategy of organisations and resolve international business problems.\n\nStudying our LLB Law with International Business degree will prepare you in part for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1) or Bar Practice Course (to qualify as a barrister).\n\nThe course focuses on key legal topics and a variety of different aspects of international business practices. These include Human Resource Management, Marketing, Leadership and Strategic Management. It is designed to give you a well-balanced choice of subjects. You will study all of the required areas of law as well as having a diverse range of international business modules.\n\nAll of our lecturers are qualified lawyers, business professionals or academic experts so you will learn to apply law and develop the practical skills employers are looking for today. To make sure that you have the skills to be versatile, we have also embedded important transferable skills in our courses. We want to make sure you feel confident that you can graduate and head straight into the workplace with the skills that employers are looking for.\n\nWith this Law with International Business course you have the opportunity to choose to undertake a business research module in your third year. This double module offers you the chance to focus specifically on an aspect of international business that is of personal interest, allowing private research and study with the support and guidance of an allocated lecturer.\n\nThe degree programme is designed so that the Foundation Year provides an underpinning year, incorporating both academic and legal/professional related learning, for applicants needing to improve their knowledge and understanding of law along with the necessary skills needed to participate in the undergraduate law programmes at levels 4, 5 and 6. Students will develop the critical study and legal skills required to progress onto the next stage of the degree and ultimately that will equip them for further study or employment. ",
