This develops and strengthens core skills while preparing you for studying at Level 5 or to enter employment with the qualities necessary for job roles that require some personal responsibility.\n\nYou will gain a wide range of business knowledge tied to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. You will be involved in vocational activities that help them to develop vocational behaviours (the attitudes and approaches required for a competence) and transferable skills.\n\nBy the end of this programme, you will have sound knowledge of the basic concepts of leadership and management. They will be competent in a range of subject-specific skills as well as general skills and qualities relevant to key areas of business.\n\nProgression Opportunities - You can progress to the HTQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management. Normally you would then go on to a top-up degree which is likely to be in Leadership and Management, Business Management, Business and Human Resource Management; Global Management or Digital Business Management.\n\nThe BTEC Level 5 HTQ in Leadership and Management (HND level) has been designed to align to the Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship and Occupational Standard (OS) for Operations or Departmental Manager, as defined by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) (https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/occupational-standards). The knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) required to meet specific OSs are embedded in both the Level 4 and Level 5 units.",
