This module will help you develop the fundamental knowledge and skills you need to become familiar with sports financial management, specifically the financial statements and economic factors within professional team sports. \n\nModule 4 - Sports Events Management \nDevelop an in-depth understanding of what it takes to organise, manage and deliver memorable and successful sports events; covering event design, development and practical fundamentals as well as managing the health, safety and security of all stakeholders. \n\nLevel 5 \n\nModule 1 - Operational Excellence in Sport \nYou’ll study the Operations Management frameworks and techniques used to proactively develop strategies in order to design, plan, and control operations and explore ways to improve business performance. \n\nModule 2 - Sport Law, Ethics and Policy \nYou’ll gain an in-depth knowledge of the legal, ethical and regulatory constraints that exist within the sports industry. Focusing on a UK context, you’ll explore some of the key tensions that determine the media coverage of events and get to grips with relevant laws, regulations and professional codes of conduct. \n\nModule 3 - Sports Business Analytics \nAn introduction to evidence-based and data-driven decision making and strategy formulation. You’ll examine methods and approaches widely used by sports organisations in collecting, analysing and utilising data on sports customers, participants, fans, spectators and viewers, in order to improve efficiency and financial performance. \n\nModule 4 - Talent ID, Analysis and Athlete Management \nYou will gain an understanding of the governmental and institutional structures supporting or influencing the sports industry and the different settings in which managers may operate. \n\nLevel 6 \n\nModule 1 – Leadership in Sports \nYou’ll develop a critical understanding of the evolution of leadership theory, its function in contemporary business environments, the role and responsibilities of a business leader and the organisational principles that contribute to contemporary business leadership issues. \n\nModule 2 - Sports Governance and Organisational Health \nYou’ll take a look at the challenges associated with commercial development and establishment of European political and economic institutions, address the global challenges of governance on multi-stakeholder organisational interest in sport, with an emphasis upon the International Sports Governance and legal frameworks. \n\nModule 3 - New Trends in Sports Business Management \nYou’ll gain an in-depth understanding of new trends in global sports. Focusing on a UK context, you’ll explore some of the key tensions that determine the media coverage of events and get to grips with relevant laws, regulations and professional codes of conduct. \n\nModule 3 - Sports Business Analytics \nAn introduction to evidence-based and data-driven decision making and strategy formulation.
