You must be working or volunteering in an appropriate professional environment both prior to and throughout your studies so you can apply what you are learning.\n\nYou will gain knowledge of the management of archives and the ability to apply this knowledge in the public sector or in commercial or specialist environments.\n\nTopics covered include:\n\nthe services users require and how we can facilitate and increase use\nthe best ways to promote our collections, looking at websites, digitisation, outreach, publicity, and educational activities\nthreats to the preservation of archives and practical ways in which these can be removed",
