"summary": "Artificial intelligence (AI) is the construction of artificial systems that have intelligent behaviour.\n\nThere are two main motivations for research. One is to understand natural intelligence through the use of computer models. The other provides techniques and technology for building systems capable of intelligent decisions and actions. AI is both a science and an engineering discipline.\n\nComputer science concerns understanding, designing, implementing and using computing systems. These systems range in scale, and complexity, from the tiny components of a single processor to the globe-spanning internet.\n\nThe mixture of complementary and overlapping aspects makes Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science a good degree combination.\n\nWe offer a wide range of courses delivered by leaders in their field. Our degree flexibility allows you to tailor your experience to your interests and be in control of your learning.\n\n**Is this degree for me?**\n\nYou do not need to have taken Computer Science or learned programming as all students are taught computation from a common starting point.
