As a Higher Education Student you are required to attend up to 11 hours of sessions which includes Lectures, workshops and seminars per week over 2, 15 week semesters in each year. You will experience a variety of learning opportunities and styles, including group work and individual research, although the emphasis is on practical, workshop based learning intended to stretch and challenge each individual.\n\n**Where does it lead?**\nThe HNC/D is a nationally and internationally recognised qualification throughout the computing world. It provides a basic grounding in the core areas of computing and information technology and leads to new employment opportunities, career enhancement, and promotion prospects. The HNC/D gives automatic subject exemption from many professional qualifications.\n\nHolders of the BTEC HNC/D in Computing can study for one additional top-up year at various UK universities to gain a computing degree (e.g. BA (Hons) in Computing).\n\n**Fees**\nStandard - £6,000 (subject to annual review)",
