"summary": "The Economics with International Relations degree is a major/minor programme, meaning that you will spend two-thirds of your time studying Economics with the Aberystwyth Business School, and one-third studying Politics in the Department of International Politics.\n\nIn choosing to study Economics with International Relations Degree at Aberystwyth University you will be part of departments that make world-leading contributions to research and practice, and which have excellent partnerships with companies in business, politics and commerce. All complimented by an understanding of the political land scape, key players and drivers for core policy decisions. \n\n**Why study Economics with Politics at Aberystwyth**?\n- In choosing to study Economics with Politics you will engage with a dynamic subject, which is fundamental to understanding not just the operations of business and commerce, but the organisation and functioning of societies.\n\n\n- Both the Aberystwyth Business School and the Department of International Politics have excellent reputations for the quality of courses and for the success of its graduates across a wide variety of careers and contexts throughout the globe. The most recent figures for the National Student Survey show a very high satisfaction rate with the course, so you can be sure that you will receive a quality learning experience.\n\n\n- Our lecturers are actively engaged in academic and policy-oriented research and consulting. Many have a business, as well as an academic, background allowing us to inform you of the latest developments in your subject area and pass on a practical awareness of the contemporary business environment. Our programmes are supported by visiting speakers who also bring their professional experience to the classroom.\n\n\n- Teaching in the Aberystwyth Business School and the Department of International Politics is underpinned by research. Our academic staff publish their work in leading academic journals and regularly act as consultants to a range of organisations. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (2014) assessment the university was placed in the top 50 institutions for research power and intensity.
