"summary": "Politics and history are complementary and intersecting disciplines. They both explore the nature of power over time and provide critical insights into the world today. Contemporary political ideas and practices are deeply shaped by modern history. For example, understanding the political institutions of America and France today requires looking back at the American and French revolutions of the 18th century.\n\nOn this degree, you’ll engage with both primary and secondary historical sources to research, write and debate.
