"summary": "The Politics and International Affairs BA is a distinctive programme in which students learn about the interplay between domestic and international politics. Students will gain a critical understanding of actors and institutions at both levels. The focus of the programme is on an analysis of politics that is contextualised with an understanding of countries and regions across the world. This detailed knowledge of countries and regions allows students to apply their knowledge to practical situations. The programme also emphasises research methods training (quantitative and qualitative) to enable students to carry out independent research while also giving them valuable employability skills.\n\n**Key benefits**\n- Students would be joining the largest concentration of politics and international studies researchers in the UK\n\n\n- Students will be taught by leading scholars with global research expertise encompassing diverse themes including electoral politics, populism, inequality, international trade, foreign policy, and international political economy.\n\n\n- Students will benefit from being taught by scholars that have links with domestic and international institutions, think tanks, and industry.\n\n\n- The BA Politics and International Affairs will emphasise methods training – both quantitative and qualitative, enabling students to confidently conduct independent research.\n\n\n- Studying in the heart of London with EIS based in the iconic Bush House building.\n\n\n- Choose to study abroad in Europe, Canada, the USA and South-East Asia in your second semester of your second year.\n",
