Our degree exposes you to a wide variety of methods to explore and understand the human mind and behaviour, from both scientific and artistic perspectives. \n\n**KEY FEATURES OF THE COURSE** \n\n\n- Combining two subjects boosts your employability and gives you the opportunity to develop knowledge and expertise in two subject areas, making you a more versatile graduate \n\n\n- The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society if you major in Psychology \n\n\n- Learn from inspiring lecturers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in Psychology and Theatre \n\n\n- Part of your course will be delivered at Derby Theatre, a fully equipped, professional theatre and major live performance venue, allowing you to gain valuable industry experience and contacts as you learn\n\n\n- Specialist facilities include our observation suite, eye-tracker equipment and Babylab for Psychology \n\n\n **SPECIALIST FACILITIES** \n\n\nOur psychology facilities are used for both teaching and research. They include computing labs with specialist software for designing experiments and research. You'll use a range of psychological recording equipment such as the latest eye-tracker equipment for analysing eye movement and our Babylab for ethical research with babies and young children. \n\nOur Theatre students learn from professionals at the professional producing and learning Derby Theatre in the heart of Derby city centre. \n\n**YOUR CAREER:** \n\nPsychology and Theatre have their specific career paths, but they also give you transferable skills that are sought by employers in a broad range of jobs and industries. \n\nStudents from a Theatre discipline regularly go on to successful careers in the theatre industries for example as actors, directors, theatre crew, artistic directors of their own theatre companies and other arts professionals. Alternatively, many students go on to postgraduate study and employment in a wide variety of professions like teaching, marketing, public relations. \n\nStudying psychology opens doors to many different sectors and professions - anywhere an understanding of people is valued - so your career options will be broad. \n\n**STUDY OPTIONS:** \n\nOn the Joint Honours programme, there are different pathways of study available.
