"summary": "If you want to understand the psychological processes that influence how young people learn across cultures or how educators can design inclusive learning, then our Psychology with Educational Practice degree is for you. \nAccredited by the British Psychological Society, we take a contemporary approach to learning providing small group teaching and interactive sessions delivered by a team of research-active academics with vast experience across the field of psychology.\nYou will also benefit from our cutting-edge psychology research facilities including:\n• brain imaging electroencephalogram (EEG)\n• eye tracking equipment\n• virtual reality\n• dedicated lab spaces and specialised equipment with a team of onsite support technicians.\nYou will have the opportunity to apply your learning and conduct your own research, working one-to-one with one of our psychology academics.\n\nWhat you'll study\nThis psychology degree will cover the breadth of this exciting discipline. You will not only develop your knowledge of core areas of Psychology including social, biological, and developmental but also explore topics such as Education, SEND (Special educational needs and disabilities), and neurodiversity.\nYour exploration will be aided by our academics who are involved in cutting-edge psychology research. Their specialisms cover fascinating and evolving areas, such as student learning styles, addiction, and gender-based stereotypes in children. \nYou will also have opportunities to learn from guest speakers and experts from the field who can share their experiences as practising psychologists. \nWe offer a supportive environment for your studies and you will benefit from an open-door policy, with staff available for academic and pastoral help if required. You will also have a personal tutor to work with you throughout your degree and year leads who can advise on specific aspects of that level of study. \nAdditionally, we provide work experience and employability opportunities throughout your degree preparing you for your future career path. This type of experiential learning will help you relate your theoretical knowledge to real-world practice. \nPast students have completed their work experience in a range of settings, including: \n• victim support schemes\n• drug support schemes\n• after-school clubs\n• market research.\nYou will also have access to dedicated lab spaces, specialised equipment, and software that will bring your learning to life. You will use our computer labs for small group teaching and gain practical research skills including: \n• experiment building software\n• BIOPACS\n• observation labs\n• eye-tracking units with biofeedback integration capability\n• virtual reality\n• Electroencephalography (EEG)\n• cognitive ability tests.\nOnce you complete this course, you can apply for Chartered Membership of the BPS on a Graduate basis.
