"assessmentMethods": "Assessments are varied and take the form of written essays, reports, and business correspondence, as well as tests in mathematics and presentations.\n\nThe Building a Business module is worth double credits and is assessed by a semester-long group project ending in delivering a business pitch in front of a panel. The best performing groups also then present their ideas to senior management.\n\nStudents should expect to work on written assignments of 1000-3000 words for most modules, due in at the end of the semester.",

"summary": "This intellectually stimulating course addresses broader aspects of business organisation and management culture, while also providing an insight into corporate and consumer legislation, corporate regulation and other legal aspects of business enterprise. You will be equipped with a real understanding of how legal considerations impact virtually every aspect of management activity.\n\nEmployers look for business graduates with knowledge and awareness of current issues. This course will teach you about globalisation, sustainability and social change - allowing you to fully understand the factors affecting business. When you graduate you will have a sound appreciation of management practice, this will include human resources, marketing, business law and information management. You will also learn the skills to analyse strategic consumer behaviour.\nThe extended degree course has been specifically designed to ensure that candidates gain the skills needed to succeed at degree level.\n\nFor students who do not meet our standard entry requirements for admission to one of our undergraduate degree courses, ARU London offers the option of an extended four year degree course.\n\nModules help to develop skills in writing assignments, mathematics, computing, public speaking and presenting, whilst developing an understanding of the modern business world. Prospective students should expect to undertake significant amounts of reading and independent study outside of the classroom (approximately 12 hours per week during term time).\n\nThis course has particular appeal for candidates who want a change in career and candidates wanting to return to education.
