"assessmentMethods": "We use a variety of teaching methods on the course which include:\n\n*Case studies\n*Seminars\n*Desk-top exercises\n*Workshops\n*E-learning\n*Specialist guest lectures from practitioners (subject to availability)\n*Visits to practitioners in action (subject to availability)\n\nAssessment methods include:\n\n*Essays\n*Examinations\n*Phase Tests\n*Presentations\n*Posters\n*Case-study critiques\n*Desk-top, simulated exercises\n*Policy books\n*Research Proposal\n*Dissertation\n\nAll of which will be developed as you progress through the course.\n\nYour precise timetable will depend on your Modules. However, typical teaching time is approximately 9 hours each week for programme specific modules and will be taught by way of block teaching. Criminology modules may differ.\n\nIn addition, you will also be expected to achieve approximately 20 hours of self-directed study.
