"entryRequirements": "For taught programmes in the School of Engineering, Programme and Major codes are indicated for the MSc (Eng) route only. However, PGDip and PGCert routes are available and students requiring advice about the codes for these programmes should contact the School.\n\nBachelors degree must be in Engineering or Science with appropriate knowledge of core aerospace. Normally, a UK 2:1 or equivalent, preferably related to aerospace engineering, but students graduating from a UK university with a 2:2 degree can be considered on a case by case basis. Such undergraduate degree programme at bachelor degree level should include appropriate modules of core aerospace engineering topics.\n\nInternational qualifications: Applications from international students are welcome. International qualifications will be evaluated in line with the National Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) guidelines.",

"summary": "Through this MSc programme, you will develop an understanding of the core subjects in Advanced Aerospace Engineering, along with knowledge and skills in mathematics, computing, design and business studies. Additionally, you will develop the wider transferable skills of analysis, problem-solving, communication and team-working.\n\nA postgraduate degree in Advanced Aerospace Engineering is the basis for a career in a profession that offers an extremely wide choice of employment opportunities. Graduates will also understand the Engineer’s role within industry in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.\n\nThe programme is suitable for people with an Engineering background wishing to gain a masters level qualification for a professional career route or those with a physical science background seeking to change disciplines to broaden their employment opportunities.\n\nThis programme aligns with the current accredited Undergraduate integrated Masters MEng 4th year in Aerospace Engineering with co-taught M level modules from the existing programme organised in two 12-week semesters with examinations at the end of each semester worth 120 credits from a total of 180. This is then combined with an MSc advanced research project over the summer term worth the remaining 60 credits.\n\n**Projects**\nProject work which contributes 60 credits, will be based on a topic of industrial or scientific relevance, and will be carried out in laboratories in the University or at an approved placement in industry. The project is examined by dissertation, and award of the MSc (Eng) degree will require evidence of in-depth understanding, mastery of research techniques, ability to analyse assembled data, and assessment of outcomes.",
