"summary": "The Foundation Year programme is ideal for applicants who do not quite meet the entry requirements for the three year degree or who would benefit from further a further year’s study in relation to studying a science subject. This BEng (Hons) Engineering (with Foundation Year) is a four-year course featuring an integrated foundation year – you’ll graduate with the same qualification as our three-year honours degree.\n\nThe foundation year prepares you for degree-level study, introducing you to essential physics and mathematics, and further mathematics, as well as academic and research skills. We offer an informal learning environment with easy access to lecturers and an opportunity to build your confidence, knowledge and understanding.\n\nYou will be taught by practicing professional engineers and scientists, you’ll develop scientific and engineering knowledge, with the professional, analytical and problem-solving skills to solve future engineering challenges.\n\nSuccessful completion of the Foundation Year will see you progress to Year 1 of the Electronic Engineering programme.\nAs a Bangor University student, you will be taught by committed and enthusiastic staff and will have access to the University’s extensive student support network and facilities.",
