"summary": "**Overview**\n\nStudied together, History and Sociology provide engrossing opportunities to investigate the origins, development and organisation of people’s social, cultural and political lives. They root understanding of the present in historical, contextual understanding of how societies have developed and been understood over time.\n\nAs you progress, you may choose to select modules that maintain a deliberately wide-ranging approach. Alternatively however, you can hone in on particular topics, creating opportunities to develop extended projects that bring your interests in both courses closer together.\n\nBoth subject areas offer their undergraduates lively subject cultures and numerous extra-curricular events, from visits to Worcester Crown Court, to seminars on Worcester and the English Civil War, to opportunities to get involved in staging academic conferences. They also aim to support your understanding of the range of opportunities that could be available to you on graduation.
