"summary": "Taught in the oldest and most established Law Department in Wales, Aberystwyth's LLB Law with integrated Foundation Year degree is both challenging and stimulating. Following the foundation year, the syllabus of this course is identical to its sister course [LLB Law, M100].\n\nThe Bar Standards Board and the Solicitors Regulation Authority recognise the degree - providing a direct route into the legal profession. You will benefit from the experience and enthusiasm of our expert staff, many of whom have also practised as solicitors - providing a practical application to your theoretical studies.\n\nBy nurturing ingenuity and \"outside of the box\" thinking, you will emerge from the degree with real-world capabilities, enabling you to shape your future and develop the career you deserve.\n\n**Benefits of Foundation Year**\n\nA degree course with a foundation year enables you to gain the knowledge and skills required to succeed at degree-level studies. In addition, many of our Foundation year schemes offer some flexibility within the subject area giving you more time to decide on a specific subject pathway.\n\nDuring the Foundation year of the degree, you will explore a range of subjects, develop essential skills such as research and critical analysis, developing arguments and self-evaluation. \n\nFoundation year students have full access to all campus facilities, societies and everything else that Aberystwyth students’ community has to offer. You will be supported by the University personal tutor system and have access to Student Support and Careers Services.
