"summary": "Our MSc by Research Biomedicine course will provide you with broad research training to prepare for a career in biomedical research.\n\nThis course is also suitable in preparation for PhD studies and for students planning a research career in industry or academia.\n\nYou will spend your first semester undertaking a number of taught modules to prepare you for your research project. This includes a research skills module in which you will gain hands-on training in advanced techniques such as confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, cloning, in situ hybridisation and bioinformatics.\n\nYou will then choose research projects to pursue for the rest of the course in areas such as cancer biology, cardiovascular disease, stem cells and regenerative biology, microbiology and genetics.\n\nFor more information, please visit our programme page: https://www.reading.ac.uk/ready-to-study/study/subject-area/biological-sciences-pg/msc-by-research-biomedicine",
