You’ll learn from accomplished reporters and editors, drawing on extensive newsroom experience to give you industry-relevant understanding and insights. You will have access to high-spec, industry-standard television and radio studios, a newsroom, edit suites and public-facing digital platforms, enabling you to develop a real-world portfolio of journalism to showcase your work to prospective employers.\n\nOn your English modules, you will analyse literature in all its forms, particularly from the Victorian period to the present day, and consider literature’s relationship to its many cultural counterparts, including film, creative writing, art and popular culture. You will develop a range of subject-specific and transferable skills, which will set you up for success in the future, whether that be in journalism or other creative industries. Along the way, you’ll be supported by academics who are leading researchers in their fields – you can find out more about our English research groups here.\n\nFrom your first year, your learning will be internationally engaged and you will have the opportunity to work with academics who are internationally renowned in their fields.
