"summary": "The fashion industry is transforming — and the future belongs to those who create with purpose. \n\n**BA (Hons) Fashion Technology** bridges the gap between fashion design and emerging technologies, unlocking dynamic career paths such as digital fashion design, virtual styling, and data-driven roles within the fashion industry. This course encourages students to challenge ethical innovation, constructive disruption, and sustainable change.\n\nThis course is designed for students with an interest in fashion innovation, product development, and data analysis: students who are not necessarily pursuing traditional “designer” roles but still seek a central place within the global fashion industry. This course will explore the end-to-end application of technology across the entire fashion pipeline: from concept and production, to promotion, distribution, analytical decision-making and emerging markets such as circularity. \n\nFashion Technology will redefine what fashion can be through the application of technologies across the fashion workflow; in doing so, students on this course will understand not only the opportunities new and emerging technologies can create but also how they can impact the environmental, ethical, and socially responsible arguments intrinsic to this global industry. \n\n**Foundation Year**\nIf you feel you need some extra preparation before the full undergraduate degree experience, this Integrated Foundation Year (IFY) might be for you. IFY is designed to provide and accessible route into higher education for students who may not have the academic qualifications needed for admission onto the degree course. This includes students from non-traditional academic backgrounds, such as those without standard qualifications, individuals returning to study after time in employment, or those whose education may have been disrupted.\n\nStudents enrolled on the IFY will be a part of a cohort with other students in IFY courses across our Fashion and Textiles courses. The IFY combines core academic and report-writing skills with essential introductory knowledge across all our courses in the fashion area:\n* BA (Hons) Fashion\n\n\n* BA (Hons) Fashion Communication\n\n\n* BA (Hons) Fashion Technology\n\n\n* BA (Hons) Textiles Design\n\n\nDelivered through skills workshops, studio activity, critiques and seminars, the IFY provides an engaging and dynamic learning environment that fosters experimentation, critical enquiry, and real-world relevance.
