This widening access initiative also considers relevant criteria such as being in care or if you live in an area with a low participation rate in Higher Education - if you are eligible, your offer could be up to 16 UCAS tariff points below the published tariff. \n \nApprenticeships: We recognise the transferable knowledge and skills gained through apprenticeships and welcome applications from students with a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship recognised by the Institute for Apprenticeships. "summary": "**Become a creative, collaborative and reflective practitioner able to contribute and shape the present and future film, television and related industries.**\n\n**Why study BA (Hons) Film Production and Cinematography?**\n\nThis course, delivered at Wiltshire College & University Centre in Salisbury.\n\n\n- Produce individual and collaboratively authored work to industry standards \n\n\n- Gain a critical understanding of current issues and opportunities at the forefront of the film, television and related industries \n\n\n- Develop the intellectual tools and techniques required to deal with issues systematically and creatively \n\n\n- Learn from experienced industry professionals and academics who will help you develop the skills necessary to be successful in the competitive world of film and television \n\n\n- Follow in the footsteps of graduates who have gone on to work in various roles on high profile and prestigious productions such as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Avengers: Endgame, Wonder Woman 1984. \n\n\n**Industry-standard equipment**\nYou’ll have access to broadcast digital cameras including the Sony FS7 and FS5, film cameras such as Arriflex and Bolex, nonlinear edit suites, Steenbeck editing tables, location lighting, dollies and track. Over the course of your studies, you will learn camera, lighting, directing, producing, production management, scriptwriting, editing and sound recording skills. As well as shooting on digital, there are also opportunities to shoot on 16mm and 35mm film. You will research film history and theory and deepen your knowledge and understanding of the contemporary film and television industry.\n\nStudents say that the placement allows them to get a foot in the door and many return to do paid work after graduation. Students have completed placements on productions including Killing Eve, 1917, and Good Omens, and at companies such as Panavision, Disney and the BBC.\n\n**Where to next?**\nMany of our graduates have gone on to work in various roles on high profile and prestigious productions such as Tenet, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Mary Poppins Returns, Avengers: Endgame, Wonder Woman 1984, Call the Midwife, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Spectre, Paddington, Beauty and the Beast and Jurassic World: Dominion.
