"summary": "BA (Hons) Photography is an ideas-driven course which combines theory with professional practice and technical expertise. You’ll graduate as a professionally-focused, critically-engaged and conceptually-driven creative, ready to succeed in a range of careers. This course is taught at London College of Communication, at Elephant and Castle, part of University of the Arts London (UAL). \n\n**What can you expect?**\n\nEach year of study is divided into two 15-week blocks with individual units focused on Practice, Contextual Studies and Professional Practice to support and develop your knowledge and understanding.\n\nProfessional practice and business skills are provided both within the course and by the award-winning UAL Student Enterprise and Employability service. Together these enable you to develop a distinctive and original voice as a photographer, and provide you with the conceptual, technical, and professional skills to underpin the highest level of practice and prepare you for your future career.\n\nTechnical workshops covering a huge variety of techniques are delivered throughout the course, introducing you to many areas of photographic practice. Exposure to professional environments through visits, lectures and input from guest speakers broadens your vision on the possible career outcomes of a photography degree.\n\nYou are directed to resources that will assist you in utilising central London, which allows ready access to museums and galleries.
