We are happy to accept combinations of the qualifications listed above, as well as alternative Level 3 qualifications such as City & Guilds, Access and Cambridge Technical Diplomas. \n\nLevel 3 qualifications can also be considered in conjunction with a grade B in A level Music, merit in the ABRSM/Trinity/LCM/Rockschool Grade 5 Theory/Grade 7 Practical, or IB Higher in Music. Points from grade examinations are taken into consideration where appropriate, although are not normally included in the offer. \n\nWe also welcome applications from mature learners and/or those with other qualifications are considered on individual merit. "summary": "Studying this degree in Music and Drama offers exciting opportunities to hone your skills in performance, theatre-making, writing, critical thinking, theorising, and debate, alongside peers and experts who share your passion for the performing arts. \n\nStudying Music, you will be taught by our world-renowned composers, performers, and musicologists who will encourage you to explore the connections between all three fundamental aspects of musical study. They will mentor your developing skills as a musician, music researcher, composer, and critic.\n\nOur Drama staff are practising professionals with experience in writing, production, directing, and acting for stage, radio and screen, will guide you in production of your creative work. With their support, you will experiment and devise performance work from scratch, exploring and developing skills in playwriting, acting, and directing.\n\nOn campus, you’ll join a welcoming, supportive community, which makes your learning experience more personal. As well as unrivalled performance opportunities, our extensive music facilities include two professional standard concert halls, rehearsal spaces, practice rooms, and electroacoustic composition and recording studios. You'll be joining a dynamic creative community with choirs and orchestras, bands, student ensembles, theatre and music societies.\n\n‘Placement Year’ and 'International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time.
