"summary": "**Top 3 for Health Professions (Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science and Health Studies)** - The University of Northampton is a top 3 institution for Health Professions in the Best UK University Guardian League table for 2026.\n\n**8th for Career Outcomes 15 months after Graduation for Health Professions (Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science and Health Studies)** - data taken from the 2026 Guardian University Guide, Health Professions Subject table, filtered by Career after 15 Months.\n\nOur **BSc Podiatry** programme aims to produce graduates who are fit for practice within the NHS or private sectors within the UK and overseas. Students benefit from clinical placement and education at **our Podiatry Clinic**, adjacent to Northampton General Hospital. In addition, students undertake a number of placements in a range of clinics and settings and are trained to undertake selected procedures under local anaesthesia.\n\nOn successful completion of the course you will be eligible to apply for registration with **the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)**. The course is **accredited by the College of Podiatry**.\n\n**The NHS Learning Support Fund**\nStudents, studying nursing, midwifery and many of the allied health professions courses from September 2020, may be eligible for a payment of at least £5,000 a year which they will not need to pay back. They may be able to apply for Financial support at the university through the NHS Learning Support Fund (NHS LSF) which offers eligible students additional support while studying for their degree. This is in addition to the Student Loan from the Student Loans Company*.\n\n**By studying at the University of Northampton, you can be sure that:**\n- Our expert academics teach in small groups supported with one to one assistance.
