"summary": "The Foundation Degree in Arts in Early Years & Primary Practice (FdA EYPP) is an employment related higher education qualification which offers students/practitioners a mix of work-related specialist skills and academic study. The course provides students/practitioners with an opportunity to enhance\ntheir knowledge and understanding of theoretical ideas associated with the care, learning and development of young children. It develops the values and beliefs necessary for those working in the Early and Primary Years with the essential knowledge and understanding of regulatory and legislative frameworks. \n\nThe FdA EYPP associates closely with practice and so students/practitioners can apply theory to their own practice/practice situations. The underlying theme of the FdA EYPP course is based on an informed approach to the academic study of early and primary childhood and focuses on facilitating professional development through the process of reflection.\n\nAs a practice-based learning course, students/practitioners will be required to be in practice (paid or voluntary) for 12 hours per week as a full-time student/practitioner (6 hours part time) to successfully complete the qualification.\nThe course can be undertaken as full time by applying via UCAS. Part time or distance learning by applying via our website. \n\nUpon successful completion of the FdA EYPP degree, students/practitioners have the opportunity to progress on to the BA (Hons) Early Learning (progression route) course, many students/practitioners will undertake this pathway into a Primary teaching role.\n\nThis course is also offered online. ",
