You'll also benefit from a further two years of structured professional development that will build on the skills and knowledge you will gain on the BEd course.\n\nCareer progression\n\nAs you build your teaching experience, you could move into senior roles, such as head of department, deputy head, assistant head or head teacher. These roles all bring more responsibility and higher salaries.\n\nYou could earn upwards of £38,000 as a senior teacher (depending on where you teach in the UK).
