"details": "You’ll need to demonstrate that you have relevant experience and learning prior to entering the course via a portfolio of evidence. A template for this portfolio is available in our course website and will also be sent to you once you've been interviewed for the course. Your portfolio will include demonstrating you have undertaken 720 hours of practice experience in a health or care environment to show you have good skills, knowledge and understanding of the profession, ideally this will be paid experience.\n\nYour practice experience must be within two years of commencement of the course. For example, if the course starts in September 2021, your experience should have been gained after September 2019. Offers are conditional on completing 720 house of practice on entry.This experience needs to be completed before you start the course, and is equivalent to 4-5 months of full-time work but may be achieved through part-time work over a longer period. It may be possible for some applicants to gain the required experiences in a voluntary capacity. Personal/family caring responsibilities will not be considered.",

"summary": "**This Master’s degree is open to applicants with a first-degree or a higher degree, making use of the Nursing & Midwifery Council’s (NMC) provision for prior learning to achieve professional registration as a nurse via a two-year postgraduate level course.**\n\nWhy study MSc Adult Nursing at BU?\n\n\n- The NMC permit prior learning, in any subject, to be recognised where it meets course outcomes and requirements - applicants will need to demonstrate this in an entry portfolio\n\n\n- Blending theory with real-world experience, this course helps you develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to register and practice as a registered adult nurse\n\n\n- You will complete dedicated study at Master’s level to achieve a postgraduate qualification, with a focus on research skills and leadership\n\n\n- 50% of the course is spent in practice placements to gain practical nursing experience in diverse locations such as hospitals, community homes, private clinics and community nursing teams\n\n\n- Skills facilities include simulated hospital wards and community home settings, allowing you to learn and practice various nursing procedures safely\n\n\n- Our annual Careers Fair has numerous healthcare exhibitors in attendance, helping you to gain employment as a registered nurse on completion of the course.\n\n\nFunding support: Nursing students may be eligible for a non-repayable government training grant of at least £5,000 a year.
