A Level General Studies accepted; Welsh Baccalaureate accepted alongside A Levels/BTEC/OCRs.\n\nFETAC Level 5 (Major Award) with all 8 subjects at Merit.\n\nPlease note that applicants must also have evidence of recent study within the last 5 years.\n\nApplicants who have been in education in the last three years will be expected to provide an academic reference as part of their UCAS application.\n\nApplicants who have applied for a place on a professional programme who have studied the same or similar programme elsewhere, will be required to provide an academic reference relating to that study regardless of when this study was undertaken. "summary": "Become a flexible practitioner caring for children, young people, and their families in a variety of settings as part of an interprofessional approach to care.\n\nThis dynamic, interactive, professional course places the needs of children and their families, and Children’s Nursing practice, at its centre. Our team are committed to supporting students to realise their potential to become compassionate, competent and autonomous children’s nurses,\nable to meet current and future healthcare demands.\n\nAs a nurse for the future, the Nursing and Midwifery Council expect you to provide care for people from all fields of nursing, so we will also enhance your knowledge and skills in relation to caring for adults, those with mental health conditions and those with learning disabilities.\n\nPractical learning in our state-of-the-art skills labs, supported by key theoretical knowledge, will prepare you for placements in hospitals during your course, ensuring you gain real, hands-on experience. The course is delivered by experienced registered nurses who have expertise in both teaching and research, and a variety of clinical specialities, including all four fields of nursing. Their experience includes acute and community children’s nursing, critical care, orthopaedics, accident and emergency, and children with complex needs. The team work closely with local providers, ensuring that the course remains contemporary.\n\nNursing and midwifery courses require clinical placements and strict safeguarding, so students must be at least 18 at the course start to meet professional standards and fully take part in all required activities.",
