"summary": "Our HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering course is a two year full-time qualification that will give you a broad understanding of electrical and electronic principles. This course is perfect if are looking to continue your education at a higher level, with the aim of employment afterwards.\n\nThe first year is delivered alongside the Mechanical and Manufacturing course, where our expert tutors will provide you with strong, sector-related content and an emphasis on practical skills to help you expand your existing knowledge of engineering. You will focus on mathematics, modern design, and electrical techniques, as well as mechanical principles to give you a broad understanding of all industrial needs.\n\nSpecialisms will take place in the second year where you will have the opportunity to hone your skills in electrical disciplines. By the end of the course you will have developed a good mix of practical and employability skills to further your career or progress onto a top-up degree.\n\n**What previous qualifications or experience do I need?**\nMinimum of 48 UCAS points (120 old system) from a BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma / A Levels / Foundation Diploma / Access Diploma in a related subject; proof of qualifications; a satisfactory reference.\n\n**What can I do after completing this course?**\nOnce you have completed the course you will have a diverse range of transferable skills that will enable you to either, advance in your current role, or push for a promotion in this exciting industry. You may also choose to top-up your qualification to full honours on our BSc (Hons) Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering course.\n\nPast students have gone on to work with local businesses such as Qinetiqs, where graduates secure technician, supervisor and management roles. Past students have worked with companies such as EDF, Aero Vintage, Photek, Deutsch(TE), Secol Engineering, VG Scienta, Stevens Rowsell, British Gypsum and Interface Engineering.\n\nIn 2024 we were awarded an exceptional 94% National Student Survey (NSS) rating. Every university in the UK takes part in the NSS, as do many colleges. This survey gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses which helps to inform prospective students’ choices and provide data that supports universities and colleges to improve the student experience. East Sussex College University Courses is very proud of our extremely high score. The NSS is managed by the OfS on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies.",
