"summary": "**This is a Connected Degree**\n\nPortsmouth is the only University in the UK with the flexibility to choose when to do an optional paid placement or self-employed year. Either take a placement in your third year, or finish your studies first and complete a placement in your fourth year. You can decide if and when to take a placement after you've started your course.\n\n**Overview**\n\nUnite your passion for the creative and technical aspects of film production with a degree that covers storytelling, project management and knowledge of industry-standard software. \n\nNo TV show or film is complete without the processes you’ll learn on this Post-Production in Film and Television degree. You’ll learn about video editing, visual effects, colour grading, post sound and the workflows of post production tasks, using practical assessments and professional software, such as Premiere and After Effects, in our devoted video editing lab. \n\nYou’ll be learning from academic staff with Avid and Adobe certifications, and applying your new knowledge through practical assessments, or work experience and placement opportunities built into the syllabus.
