"summary": "The BSc Education Studies with Study Abroad explores how learning happens at all ages, from very young children to older adults. You will learn about education in a range of settings; from schools and universities to online communities, social movements, workplaces and care homes. You will develop expertise in UK education and will study education from global, international and comparative perspectives.\n\nThe course currently includes an optional placement unit, Education in Practice, where you can apply your learning and gain valuable workplace experience through a placement in a school, charitable organisation, business, museum, community group, or research setting.\n\nIf you achieve the required grades at the end of the first year, you will spend your third year at a partner institution overseas, for example the US, Australia or Hong Kong. To find out more about studying abroad, visit the Centre for Study Abroad.\n\nA BSc in Education Studies offers a broad foundation in educational theory, policy, and practice, preparing graduates for various careers in the education sector and beyond. While it doesn't directly qualify students for classroom teaching without further qualifications, it opens pathways in areas like educational consultancy, curriculum design, policy analysis, and administrative roles in schools or education non-profit organisations. Graduates can also work in training and development, community education, or international organisations focused on education. Further studies can expand career opportunities, or offer the option to become an academic researcher.",
