Interviews are currently conducted online.\n\nDBS, medical assessment and Child Disqualification checks are required. Instructions on how to complete these checks will be provided once you hold a firm offer for this course.\n\nMust have 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above to include English Language, Mathematics and Science. We may be able to offer the MMU Equivalency tests to those applicants who do not have sufficient grades in GCSE English Language, Mathematics or Science.\n\nIELTS 6.0 with no component below 5.5 taken within two years of course start date\n\nAs per Department for Education requirements for teacher training courses, we are not able to accept Key Skills, Adult Numeracy and Literacy or Functional Skills as an alternative to GCSE English Language and Mathematics qualification. We are not able to accept Human Biology, Physiology, Environmental or Agricultural Science as an alternative to GCSE Science qualification. "summary": "How does a three-year-old child learn to read? How do you write an individual teaching plan for a seven-year-old with dyslexia? How do you manage the behaviour of the five-year-olds you teach every day?\n\nOn our three-year course, you’ll develop the professional skills you need to become a teacher, so that you can set high expectations of the pupils you teach. You will develop skills that promote good progress within learning, secure and demonstrate good subject and pedagogical knowledge across the primary curriculum, and plan and teach well-structured lessons that are adapted to your pupils’ needs. \n\nYou’ll also develop strong research skills, learning how to interpret the latest educational research and incorporate it into your teaching methods. This is so you can draw on research to guide your teaching in the classroom, innovate your approaches to classroom management and find solutions to issues that may arise.\n\nSome of the concepts you’ll explore include the importance of memory in the learning process, how to address common misconceptions within subjects and how to adapt your teaching to support all children including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will also learn the importance of reflective practice to support improvement. \n\nYou’ll go on school placements in each year of study, gaining experience in teaching every phase from 3–11 year-olds, so that you can teach in Early Years through to Key Stage Two when you graduate.\n\n**Features and Benefits**\n\n\n- **Teaching excellence**- We've been training teachers for over 100 years.
