"modules": "You will study a range of practical, professional and contextual approaches to digital imaging and photography and will learn through the production of personal and commercial briefs designed to facilitate increasing levels of independence, inspiring ownership of process, product and skills. Students will have full access to well equipped studio space and both digital and traditional photographic facilities, including Adobe software, large format digital printing and traditional darkroom. \nCore modules, include:\nPortfolio Development\nUndergraduates will be asked to reflect on the area of industry they intend to work in after graduation. They will be required to research the ideas, techniques and working practices specific to this professional arena in order to gain a realistic appraisal of what they will need for working in such a competitive field. \nWhere possible, undergraduates will build links with relevant professional organisations, bodies or practitioners. In response to this research, they will then develop two bodies of photographic work and relevant promotional material aimed at their intended industry / client base.\n\n•\tAn understanding and identification of the relevant photography issues \n•\tDefinition of research areas\n•\tAnalytical discussion to consider research implications\n•\tInnovative and original conclusions and define a potential future scenario\nAs the culmination of Semester 1 activities, undergraduates will produce a visually rich report that communicates the main threads of discussion and concludes with a potential future scenario that could provide a context for further design work.\nProfessional Development\nExtensive independent research will be conducted in this module. It will focus on relevant professional / business related practices that underpin their field. They will produce a report and a twelve-month business plan detailing their professional development for the final semester and the period directly following graduation. Students will develop their professional skills through either undertaking a relevant work placement or through undertaking work with a client. They will be encouraged throughout to work with relevant University bodies to further their professional understanding and opportunities. \nResponsive Module\nThis module enables the course to respond flexibly to external opportunities raised by emerging events such as local partnerships, industrial links or cultural phenomena. This will provide opportunities for professional development, engagement in the community or entrepreneurship and this may involve collaboration between undergraduates across programmes or institutions, locally, regionally or nationally. Alternatively, it will enable the programme to respond to emerging issues or events from its own sector - for example the biennial 'Look15 - Liverpool International Photography Festival'. It may also be in the form of specific practices that are at risk of under-representation within the programme or the defined need to address a specific cohort area of development. \nHonours Project\nThe Honours Project will to enable the student to draw together the specialist and supporting studies they have developed up until this point into a coherent integrated project based upon a significant major theme. Specific content may be determined as part of the project negotiation process.",

Additionally we will normally expect applicants to have the following qualifications: \n Successful completion of the Foundation Degree in Digital Imaging and Photography or equivalent Art, Design or Media-related Foundation Degrees which have a significant digital imaging or photographic content. Some students may be required to undertake a bridging module. A transcript may be required. \n or \nSuccessful completion of an Art, Design or Media related HND which has significant digital imaging or photography content. Some students may be required to undertake a bridging module. \n \n \nUK and EU Entry: Equivalent international qualifications will be considered towards meeting the general entry requirements. \n\n Additional Selection Criteria:\n Meeting the minimum entry requirement for a course does not necessarily guarantee a place. Entry to all courses is subject to a successful interview. When assessing an application, we take into account your grades, predicted grades, reference and personal statement. From your personal statement and interview, we consider your motivation and commitment to success, and any relevant experience you may have. For some courses, we may also ask for a portfolio of appropriate work or an audition.\n\nFor some courses, students may be required to find a work placement prior to enrolment and/or undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. These requirements will be discussed at interview.\n\nMature Students:\n We recognise that some mature students may not meet the standard entry requirements but may have gained knowledge and skills from relevant work or life experience and, therefore, we would consider your application on an individual basis. We would take into account your work and life experience and may ask you to discuss this in more details at interview.\n\nInterview:\n All applicants are invited to attend an interview with either the Course Leader or Course Tutor. You will be notified of your interview by our Admissions Team who will also update UCAS Track with details of your application.",
