"summary": "Complete your photography studies with our one-year top-up degree. This programme will enable you to ‘top-up’ your existing skills and qualifications into a full honours degree, if you have previously studied a HND or foundation degree in photography. This top-up degree starts each September and is awarded by the University of Surrey. \n\n• Taught over two full days per week, the course gives you more flexibility in balancing work or family commitments\n• Recent gallery trips have included Paris Photo (Paris), Foam (Amsterdam), Bauhaus (Berlin) and Fotomuseum (Antwerp). \n• This degree could lead to careers in photography areas as diverse as advertising, editorial, fashion, fine art, PR and documentary filmmaking\n• Guest speakers have included documentary photographer Mark Neville, fine art photographer Claire Strand and editorial photographer Daniel Stier\n• During your photography degree, you will be working with small to large format cameras, studio lighting, digital post-production suites, Adobe software, traditional darkroom facilities and much more \n\nIf you are interested in creating and collaborating on exciting projects, while honing in on your technical ability and own unique style, then our photography top-up could be for you. \n\nAt Farnborough, we provide an applied course of study that produces graduates with high level skills, so you are able to work with confidence at graduate level. Our top-up degree is industry-led and applies underpinning concepts, the principles of creativity and allows you to pursue and develop your academic, technical and creative abilities. \n\nOn completion of this top-up photography degree you will feel confident to showcase your specialism and style, ready for your to transition into industry as a professional photographer or in an associated profession. \n\n**WHO IS THE PROGRAMME FOR?**\nThis degree is suitable for students with a foundation degree or HND in a relevant subject, who would like to gain a full honours degree. You might be returning to education after a break, or wish to transfer from another higher education institution.\n\n**WHAT WILL I STUDY?**\nThis top-up degree sees the development of key skills and applications developed through your previous studies, with an aim to specialise and hone professional practices.
